| Vile Bodies
in the Lord’s Little town This mini edition of One Eye Grey was produced especially for the Ghosts of Senate House Project and is available individually for the princely sum of £1.50 including postage or as part of the outrageously cheap £12.00 package that gets you Vile Bodies and the first seven editions. Place your orders here. Vile Bodies owes a great deal to the MR James classic Count Magnus and is a nod to Lord Southampton whose “Little Town” (essentially London’s first suburb) is better known as Bloomsbury, after Blemondisberi – the bury, or manor, of Blemond. Once a wood with 100 pigs it is now home to several excellent museums, a number of academic institutions and more literary associations than you can shake saucily shaped stick at. It is also home to the Harry Price magic library and that is where the action takes place as a bereaved young lady pieces together, through use of his twitter feed and blog, the last days of her brother James. For those of you interested in walking the mean squares of Bloomsbury you could book a regular or musical Bloomsbury stroll through www.londonstreettours.co.uk |
